When I first visited Marseille France at the end of 1999, I went to Vieux Port and as my friend and I were walking along the coast we found this museum. We went in and our 19 year old brains were impressed with the number of photos portraying the cruelty of the death camps that Hitler built in various countries that Nazi Germany occupied.
Sadly for a number of years this museum has been closed. This year my wife and I passed again in front of this building and I was saddened that for another year this building remained closed.
I hope that one day it will open again as surely in the age we live in we must see the photos that remind us that we need to respect one another and tolerate our differences. If we do not we are bound to repeat doing the same mistakes again.
