Welcome.

My name is Sergio Morana, and I am a photographer, writer, and educator based in Malta.

For many years, photography has been my way of observing the world. It has given me the privilege of documenting some of life’s most meaningful occasions, from Holy Communions and Confirmations to family celebrations, portraits, and special events. Every session tells a different story, and my aim is always to create photographs that feel natural, authentic, and timeless.

I believe the best photographs are not simply taken. They are discovered through patience, trust, and genuine connection. Whether I am photographing a child on their Communion day, capturing the atmosphere of an event, or creating a portrait, my goal is to preserve real moments that will be treasured for years to come.

Alongside photography, writing has become an equally important part of my life.

What began as personal journaling gradually grew into a memoir and a collection of reflections on life, relationships, learning, purpose, and personal growth. Writing helps me make sense of experiences that cannot always be expressed through images alone. It invites me to slow down, ask questions, and explore the deeper meaning behind everyday moments.

My work as an educator has also shaped the way I see people. It has taught me the value of listening, encouraging growth, and recognising that every person has a unique story worth understanding. Whether I am teaching, photographing, or writing, I find myself returning to the same purpose: helping people feel seen, understood, and appreciated.

This publication brings together these different parts of my journey.
