The concert titled "Nigi Ghandek" (meaning "I come to you"), unfolded on a stage adorned with simple yet elegant lampshades, creating a cozy ambiance. Father Karm's entrance was calm and confident, immediately captivating the audience. His songs, each with a powerful message of praise to the Almighty, prayer or introspection, resonated deeply with the audience. Whether reflecting on his pandemic experiences in "Of Dust and Glory" or diving into themes of faith and personal growth, his music struck a chord with everyone present. The song I liked most was Jahweh I am sure that if Father Karm had to have the right exposure this would be a top song in the local scene especially with Christian faith groups. I can't forget to mention Debbie Scerri and Tezara Saliba, who joined Father Karm for two beautiful duets. Their voices blended perfectly, adding another layer of magic to the evening.
Throughout the two-hour performance, despite being over 60 years old, Father Karm or as we like to call him Karmenu, exuded a youthful energy that transcended age. He inspires us all with the spirit of growth and joy. Father Karm has an infectious smile and he managed to connect with the audience through his songs and charisma. He also managed to transmit to the audience his inner peace, humility and wisdom.
This concert was more than just music; it was a soul-stirring experience. Father Karm's authenticity, talent, and unwavering spirit shone brightly, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. He serves as a true inspiration, reminding us that age is just a number, and the pursuit of passion and joy knows no bounds.
If you have the opportunity to experience his music, I urge you to take it. This was an evening filled with beautiful music, powerful messages, and a renewed sense of hope and positivity. You can listen to Fr. Karm's music on Spotify by clicking here.
